What I Eat In A Day To GAIN WEIGHT! | My Emetophobia Journey
What I Eat In A Day To GAIN WEIGHT! | My Emetophobia Journey
In this video, I just wanted to show what I eat in a day to try to gain weight. I've always struggled with eating because of emetophobia, so I've always been pretty skinny and very insecure about it. Now, I'm on a mental and physical health journey to end the limiting beliefs I have and conquer this phobia (or at least get it somewhat under control). If you can relate, please comment down below. I could really use some support from like-minded people, and I hope we can all help each other!

Emetophobia Keeps Me From Eating | My Health Journey

Emetophobia Keeps Me From Eating | My Health Journey I've had emetophobia (fear of vomit) for most of my life. Since I was a child, emetophobia has held me back from being my healthiest self. I was always extremely picky with foods, and some days I wouldn't eat at all, just from the fear of throwing up. An incident happened about a month ago that really made me take a step back to look at my me...
what to do if therapy isn't working

It’s human nature to seek guidance and validation. We receive that throughout most of our childhood from parents, teachers, or any authority figures. We were always given specific rules and instructions. So it’s normal to assume that when we go to see a therapist later in life, we expect them to tell us exactly what to do to improve our mental health. At least, this is how I felt. It took me ye...

SCROLL DOWN FOR MY FREE BEDTIME ROUTINE! It is extremely common to feel more anxiety at night than you do throughout the day. We had the unfortunate experience of talking to my 7 yr old daughter’s (at the time, she’s 9 now) pediatrician about this before we knew what this was….It was online, and I had my dtr wait in the bedroom so I could prep the “doctor” about not saying these words and what her anxiety was about, and she rushed me thru saying, just bring her in so we can talk, and that B….said the “V” word and every other damn word for it you could think of AND freaking ALSO said “oh, yes, the (she said the actual words of St**** f** ) illness you’re most afraid of is going around right now…..WT actual F?!!! I don’t think we’ve been to the doctor since…a child that is supposed to go to the doctor every year, hasn’t been to a doctor bc of that lady…..oh, and the incident that started all this, she caught from that office when she was 4…..like., screw you healthcare system! I’m still so mad about that whole thing as you can prob tell :p

    I just clicked on the first video after typing in "why do people like the office?" Then after like 1min of this girl talking I realized who the actual viewer base of the office is. I'm a millennial but I'm still just at a loss when it comes to how people can find the office entertaining. I've watched quite a bit just in passing when I leave comedy central on past 5pm while doing something else and find myself getting more and more aggravated with just how much it's even being aired with how bad it is lmao. Like there's not some "deeper meaning" or "subtle humor" to "get" while watching that makes it any better. I promise you I "get" every single "subtlety" and "joke" it's trying to portray but it's just not consistently funny or entertaining. It has some good moments that are ok but the only thing I can possibly interpret as a reason to watch it is if you just somehow find pleasure in cringey/bad jokes solely for the fact that they're cringey/bad jokes. Which I'm sorry to say is the absolute epitome of having a horrible sense of humor akin to a 4 year old lmao. The person in this video saying she puts it on during "anxiety" or "panic attacks" is like openly saying that you put it on because it's so bland and ordinary that it gives you a level head. Why not put something genuinely funny or entertaining on so you're put into a good mood in place of having "anxiety." lmao. Anyway, that brings me to another blaring issue with my own generation it seems. The fact that seemingly every female and even some males my age claim to suffer from "anxiety" or "panic attacks" as if it's some sort of "disorder" or "disease." Like "anxiety" is an emotion/feeling like anything else...fear, sadness, happiness, anger, etc... Just because you feel "anxiety" sometimes doesn't mean you have some kind of mental disorder lmao. It's something EVERYONE feels at some point. E V E R Y O N E. You're not special, or different because you're aware of the fact that you feel anxiety. The only difference between you and everyone else is the fact that you treat your anxiety like something you have to medicate or control disproportionately to your other feelings. The reason why every person in my generation seems to have anxiety disorders isn't because they actually have anxiety disorders, it's because they treat anxiety differently than every generation prior lmao. Which is why anxiety wasn't an issue so prevalent to date in each generation until a generation came along treating an emotion/feeling like a disease simply because it was convenient to do so. I don't even like classifying generations to begin with but it's really just gotten obnoxious to the point that said generation finds something as terrible as the office actually entertaining in some way. Like the office is bad, in every way, shape, and form. The only way to find it entertaining is to have the sense of humor of a 5 year old.

    I think betterhelp ask too many questions before connecting you to a therapist. You will regret when you run out of money in your wallet and realise that your problems havent be resolved. These online therapist services are really a good way to scam for people to pry on your short term anxiety to earn your money.

    Many people are anxious because of the sedentary life most people are living today, behind a computer 🖥️. Hill climbing, tennis 🎾, horseback riding, swimming ( clean water) ,running, power yoga, volleyball, surfing 🌊 (if the water is clean), dancing etc are the best ways to relieve stress. This is why your anxious when you meditate. If you were getting a good work out every day, getting enough sleep 😴 eating healthy food, you would feel great 😃. Many women are deficient in iodine selenium and magnesium and are heavily fatigued and anxious as a result. Iodine is also directly related to brain health and IQ and helping to prevent cancer. Please do your research 😇❤️😇

  • @Knoxx09
    @Knoxx09 11 місяців тому

    Why are you more anxious at night? 1st reason. First time all day you have been alone with your thoughts. 2nd reason. The busier you are all day, the more that you're ignoring your anxiety. 3rd reason. Using blue light right before your bed. 4th reason. General negativity vibe that surrounds darkness (fear of darkness). 5th reason. Everyone else is asleep and you have no one to confide. 6th reason. You have conditioned yourself to believe that you'll be anxious every night. How to overcome? 1st tip. Create a bedtime routine (sleep foreplay), three to five things that will help you relax. Reduce bluelight (use night mode). Be consistent! 2nd tip. Guided meditation. 3rd tip. If you can't sleep or you've woken up and can't fall back asleep or you're just too anxious and you're really jittery, get up and move! Do a bedtime yoga routine, or just stretch and walk around the house. 4th tip. Journaling. Write whatever you have in your head, this can really help remove those racing thoughts right before bed. 5th tip. Listening to music (chill lo-fi) or white noise. Transcripted for myself and anyone who wants to come back whenever in need to remember some of those tips.

    idk why alot of online therapy doesn't accept insurance. A part of me believes it because insurance companies believe that it's not a serious or as "real" as a physical wound. Like if you need to go the hospital for a leg injury or a spinal cord injury. Idk how to explain it.. I just think that people still think that it's for the 'weak-minded' and people should be able to face it on their own, thus they shouldn't waste their time paying for something people can handle. Like it's somesort of thing that you want but dont need, such as 'cosmetic surgury'. They view it as a non-neccessity, something that's not life-threathening. All in all, they don't take it seriiously, so they're not paying for it.

    I haven't vomited in almost 13 years. Last time, I did it when I was in 2nd grade in front of a few classmates walking to music class. I had a stomach virus and ate apple slices that morning. I remember refusing to eat at home and eat apple slices for YEARS because I didn't want to get sick again. Now, I feel somewhat better about myself getting possibly sick, but I can't deal with other people. Anytime I witnessed someone do it, my heart starts beating fast, and I would run. It sucks having emetophobia because I want to have kids in the future, but I'm nervous that I won't be able to handle it.

Please b careful.... since 2018 or do ppl have been calling betterhelp out for questionable finance practices & being a con to get ppls data (they were originally called Compile & listed as software company... ....lots online about betterhelp such as originally having unlicensed counsellors (apparently now changed) to selling yr data to e.g.facebook & who else knows what. FTC (March 2023) has just fined betterhelp & banned them from selling customer data.

I struggle with a lot of the same issues (anxiety, depression, emetophobia) and you and your content have been so helpful. It’s nice to listen to you speak about these issues while doing other things. I sometimes just zone out and listen to you because you’ve perfected the craft of relaxing delivery. You’ve really helped me realize parts of these issues that I’ve overlooked and made me feel less crazy knowing there are others out there and I’m not so crazy. If you’re still making videos, I can’t wait for the next one and I hope you’re happy and well. This pandemic, and the last few years, have really been some of the hardest years for mental health and it feels like the world is so bitter, cold, and uncaring right now. Also I've heard this app requires face to face and also incentivize therapists with more $ for face to face vs. texting therapy. And who developed these apps? are they mental health professionals or just silicon valley millionaire app developers??? sounds like Uber except it's therapy. hmmmm..... idk.
